RVGS Member Meetings & Programs
Members' Program & Meeting
The Rogue Valley Genealogical Society meets the third Tuesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Each gathering consists of a brief business meeting, a genealogy- or history-related program, and refreshments. The exceptions are July and August when the society takes a summer break, and December when the society holds its annual Christmas Party, the Volunteer Awards Ceremony, and Installation of Officers. The programs are free for everyone, and guests are encouraged to attend. Watch our event calendar for specifics.
Heirloom Genealogy (formerly Quilts & Genealogy)
Programs are given the fourth Tuesday each month (except July, August, and December) from
1:30 to 2:30 PM to learn about genealogical clues from family heirlooms. Presenters share the
research techniques, historical events, and memories connected to quilts and other family
treasures. We are reminded that “things” can help us discover a family’s genealogy and
connect stories about the heirlooms to family history.
